Abstract
The proposed review article provides detailed insight into natural stone materials in architectural perception. The paper provides progress on various aspects of the five different types of stone materials such as marble, sandstone, granite, slatestone, and limestone used for construction in the past 3500 years for heritage structure and modern buildings. Furthermore, the article also discussed laboratory experiments and chemical composition in natural stones with advanced technology. Future process and recommendation also discussed to develop a research area on natural stones.
