Abstract

Palladium‐catalyzed cross‐coupling of arylsulfonyl hydrazides with aryl diazonium salts to provide biaryl products under relatively mild conditions is established. This reaction proceeded smoothly with tetrabutylammonium iodide and gave the corresponding products with CC bonds formed using PdCl2/bis (dicyclohexylphosphino) methane catalyst under air. This method also allowed easy access to significant functional biaryls for potential applications in medicinal and organic chemistry.
