Abstract
Among 19,503 viable births in the II Obstetrical and Gynecological Clinic of the University of Istanbul, there have been 89 destructive deliveries performed on dead infants in cases of obstructed labor in the course of 10 years. Two maternal deaths occurred, a rate of 2.2 per cent. Indications, results, and the sources of complications in the destructive deliveries are discussed.
