Abstract

This paper reports the judged desirability and judged frequency of endorsement for 352 Personality Research Form-E items, based on data from 237 persons. Endorsement proportions for the same items are reported for college, high school and military samples. Evidence for the stability over time of these values is reported. Comparisons between Form E and the MMPI and California Psychological Inventory indicate fewer items with extreme desirability values and fewer extreme p values on the Personality Research Form-E than on both the MMPI and California Psychological Inventory. This is interpreted in terms of the methods of construction of the Personality Research Form.
