Abstract
The aim of this work is to focus on the methodological proposal that the electrosynthesis of peroxocarbonates carries out, which uses boron-doped diamond electrodes (bdd) and uses solutions of sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate and acetic acid as raw materials. The use of different carbonate raw materials and the effect of several operation parameters as current density and pH were evaluated in order to let the electrosynthesis of peroxocarbonates occurred. The results obtained showed a close relationship between anodic influence favoured in alkaline medium and the presence of oxyl species associated with the formation of peroxocarbonates which employed low current densities with an 80% efficiency production at a short time (5h).
