Abstract

Hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is a promising technology for the production of clean and renewable energy. Iron phosphide (FeP) has attracted significant attention as HER catalysts due to its excellent catalytic activity and low cost. We report herein a new method to construct two-dimensional (2D) superstructures composed of close-packed FeP@C nanoparticles. Such rationally designed FeP@C superstructures, benefiting from their 2D geometry and highly accessible active sites, show excellent activity and stability as HER electrocatalysts.
