Abstract

Underwater acoustic target radiation noise simulator can provide target signals for the development and acceptance of acoustic passive detection equipment. In the paper, the measured underwater acoustic target radiated noise is decomposed to IMF by EMD. Every IMF will be analyzed and the redundant ones will be rejected. Then the underwater acoustic target radiated noise is reconstructed with the remained IMFs, where the weight of every IMF will be hunted by PSO. On this basis, the underwater acoustic target radiation noise simulator is designed including the hardware as well as the software. Finally, the simulator is tested in anechoic tank, and the result shows that the noise of underwater targets produced by the simulator agrees well with the measured one.
