Abstract

In this paper multiband frequency selective surface (FSS) has been designed using the iterative technique of the fractal geometry. A multiband FSS can be designed that use several iterations of the geometry to form a prefractal that resonates corresponding to the scales present in the geometry. The second iteration of sierpinski gasket fractal has been utilized to obtain three stop bands. Perfect electric conductor has been used as a conducting material situated over the dielectric material. A multiband FSS is excited by the plane wave using the unit cell boundary condition in CST simulator.
