Abstract

This report deals with the importance of vernacular architecture in the development of commercial spaces by posing the question of the relationship between vernacular approach in commercial complex in architectural space and by examining and analyzing this relationship the importance and paying attention to vernacular architecture arises and the main objective of the implementation strategy for the design of commercial spaces and promoting it in a way so that is not just a mere business and included maintaining the local values and traditional products and revitalizing areas of traditional architecture. While expressing the existing general principles and rules in Gilan architecture, there will be an overview of the samples done in the area and qualitative and quantitative study compatible with background designs are to be introduced. The most important question in this article is addressing this issue i.e., why the use of vernacular and ecology-oriented architecture? And what is the importance of this issue in the design of commercial spaces? In response to these questions, the phenomenological analytical and descriptive methods used At the conclusion of the available principles found in Gilan architecture reached the principles in designing commercial spaces and suggestions of theoretical and practical approach for designing the spaces are provided and at the end of the research the questions are to be answered.
