Abstract

AbstractDesign space exploration (DSE) is an elegant way to tackle the ever‐growing design complexity of automotive Electrical/Electronic (E/E) architectures. In this paper, a toolchain extension is presented and discussed. While still under development, it enhances the modeling with a graphical canvas and allows the model to be defined more naturally, and agnostically before being attached to the rest of the toolchain. It is, then, that more heavy‐duty simulation frameworks such as Metropolis are put to use to perform guided design space exploration and converge toward an optimum. We validated the extended toolchain with a proof of concept use case being challenged by the addition of a third camera, and the way the existing two‐frontal cameras subsystem could be adjusted to fit it best. It is intended for this modeling toolchain to be reusable on a larger range of design use‐cases.
