Abstract

Design thinking (DT) is philosophy, mindset, and strategy which helps people to reach the creativity and innovation. DT is like a compass and a methodology to guide sailors to sail a ship in the uncharted ocean of creativity. However, in order to boost creativity for entrepreneurship we need steps as follows: Curiosity, Imagination, and Innovation.We human beings have confronted the pandemic challenges in every 100 years since the history of human beings. These challenges were Pest, Cholera and Spanish influenza and COVID-19. To solve these problems and confrontations, we are in need different ways of thinking which is based on Creativity. The challenge is a Chance. Chance has two meanings in Asian cultures: danger as well as opportunity. If we focus on positive side of chance, we could boost creativity so as to find out new solutions.DT is a methodology to find out the need of customers (needs finding), the definition of an actual problem, idea generation through communication and collaboration. It also permits to make many mistakes which is inevitable in the process of learning. The last stage of DT, customer involvement in the form of test, suggests new ways to find a solution.This chapter is devoted to introduce DT cases with healthcare organization OD (Organisational Development), train the DT trainer processes, career development planning for graduate students, and cases of leadership development in industrial organizations.
