Abstract
The tweezer molecules pyridine-2,6-[ o-CH 2XC 6H 5(CH 3)(Cr(CO) 3)] 2 and 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-[ o-CH 2XC 6H 5(CH 3)(Cr(CO) 3)] 2 (X NH, OCH 2, SCH 2) have been synthesized, and their trinuclear dichromium(0)-rhodium(I) derivatives shown to undergo fast thermal and photochemical carbonyl exchanges.
