Abstract

Redox-active organic molecules (ROMs) that are highly stable and soluble in various oxidation states have been designed to further develop high-energy batteries. A new ROM design strategy perspective is provided by the molecular engineering of N-heterocyclic carbenes in a manner that stabilizes unstable substances.
