Abstract

The Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) is commonly used in developing and innovating information systems, particularly in creating artifacts such as mobile apps for education and healthcare. This study aimed to apply DSRM to create learning media for students with spastic and dyskinetic Cerebral Palsy at SLB Bina Mandiri ABCD Cirebon who have difficulty communicating due to limited arm muscle movement. The study produced two iterations of learning media artifacts: a book with picture cards using the PECS method and a mobile app with added Indonesian audio. The study focused on designing and developing the second artifact, which was more effective than the first. Future research could evaluate the second artifact in greater depth through client-initiated testing.
