Abstract
Strategies and tactics for teaching DSP at CalTech are discussed, and the role of design-oriented courses in undergraduate engineering education is briefly considered. Courseware for an applications-oriented course and design laboratory for advanced undergraduate student is described. Several projects carried out by students and the products developed and created by them are presented to illustrate students' performance. >
