Abstract

This paper proposes a Wideband cylindrical dielectric resonator energized with an L-strip feed which is focused to be used for wideband application. The objective of this project is to optimize antenna parameters and thereby study the effects of antenna dimensions Length (L), Width (W) and substrate parameters, relative dielectric constant, substrate thickness on its performance. The novel exciting technique achieves a 2:1 VSWR bandwidth of 17%. This project introduces to design antenna operating at 4.02GHz based on the CDRA radius of 10 mm and height of 10mm. The variation of percentage of bandwidth for different feed (simple feed and T feed) parameters is also studied. HFSS software will be used to design a CDR antenna.
