Abstract

Nowadays, many information technologies are applied through Mobile App, including for product sales, as a means of building a brand image, showing existence in competition, as an information medium and to increase the profit of a company or an organization. STT Wastukancana is a college in Purwakarta that utilizes the Mobile App as an information media to support all campus information needs. In the mobile app, one important factor besides the technical aspects of the system is the design of the user interface. The design of the user interface has an important role because it becomes a direct link between the system and its users. Users often judge an application from an interface, not from its function but from the user interface. If the interface design is bad, it is often a reason not to use the application. In this research, the Wastu Mobile interface is designed according to the wishes of users by using the Kansei Engineering method. The methodology used refers to Kansei Engineering Type I, the Kansei Word List is used in 13 words. Determination of specimens in this study uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. This study involved 50 participants, the questionnaire results were processed using multivariate statistical analysis, namely Cronbach's Alpha, Coefficient Correlation Analysis (CCA), Factor Analysis (FA) and Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. This study produced three recommendations for the design elements of Wastu Mobile.
