Abstract
It is designed and implemented that a satellite ocean monitoring visualization simulation platform for the Bohai Sea in this paper. The orbital element is used to describe the satellite operation state to build satellite orbit model. Using WGS-84 reference ellipsoid model as the earth model, the satellite nadir point tracks and satellite-to-earth coverage areas can be calculated on the basis of ephemeris parameters. In this way, the transit enquiry and forecast are realized. Through calling the OpenGL's correlation functions and Baidu map API, the three-dimension(3D) and two-dimension (2D) visualization of passed(or passing) satellite(or multiple satellites) running and earth monitoring has been implemented. Moreover, the 2D and 3D display can complete seamless transition according to the zoom level of the Baidu map(or 3D digital earth) in the simulation interface.
