Abstract

An unequal power divider with high power dividing ratio and tunable operating frequency is presented in this paper. The circuit utilizes a pair of short-circuited coupled lines with loaded varactor diodes to realize tunable high impedance lines. T-shaped circuits with varactors constitute the tuning sections in the proposed power divider. The operating frequency can be changed continuously by tuning the bias voltages of different varactors. For demonstration, a prototype is designed and fabricated with the dividing ratio of 10:1 and operating frequency from 0.78GHz to 1.2GHz. The measurement results show good agreement with the simulation results.
