Abstract
SUMMARYUltra High Voltage (1000 kV; UHV) AC transmission technology is the most advanced AC transmission mode with the highest voltage until now. Based on the construction experience of 1000 kV Jindongnan–Nanyang–Jingmen UHV AC Pilot Demonstration Project, the major design principles and the key technical solutions of UHV AC transmission line (including large crossing) are introduced, such as the choosing of conductor and earth wire, overvoltage and insulation coordination, lightening protection and grounding, insulator string and fittings, clearance to obstacles, tower and foundation.
