Abstract

This paper presents Triple strip line structured monopole UWB antenna with a defective ground plane, and its characteristics are evaluated. The final structure of the radiator is obtained by fusing the triangular-shaped patch with three-strip lines. Defected rectangular-shaped ground plane at the rear plane is used to achieve wider impedance bandwidth. The designed antenna resonates from 2.4 GHz to 9.5 GHz. The unit cell of a MIMO antenna occupies the volume of 42×24×0.8mm3. The proposed UWB MIMO antenna consists of four orthogonal elements and occupies a volume of 69 × 69 × 0.8mm3. The properties of the MIMO antenna are tested through mutual coupling, envelope correlation coefficient (ECC), and gain of Diversity. For UWB (ultra-wideband) operations, a novel small planar antenna is suggested. A radiating patch, notched ground plane, and a unique arc-shaped strip linked between the microstrip feed line and the radiating patch make up the proposed antenna’s low-profile construction. A broadband antenna with good impedance matching may be made utilizing the suggested construction.
