Abstract
In order to set up the common fundamental platform for the specialties of computer science and technology, software engineering and network engineering, the core curricula of common fundamental platform of the computer discipline are designed. The core curricula are based on Computing Curricula 2004 released by the IEEE-CS and the ACM, and combined with the actual situations of the university as well as the basic requirements of the society for computer professionals. After four years' practice, it shows that the design of the core curricula is effective and possesses some scientificity and advancement and forward-looking, and also accords with the basic requirements of admission for the computer disciplines. In this paper, the positioning of curricula, the setting of curricula, and the coverage analysis of curricula by means of the comparison between the designed core curricula and the common core knowledge system and curricula for the undergraduates of the computer science and technology released by the teaching steering committee of the computer science and technology of the national colleges and universities, are presented.
