Abstract

The sliding mode control problem of a class of uncertain neutral delay systems is considered. By selecting a sliding surface depending on the current state and delayed state, the paper gives delay-independent sufficient condition and delay-dependent sufficient condition in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) such that the closed-loop system is guaranteed to be asymptotically stable. According to reaching condition, the sliding mode control method is proposed. The control method guarantees that the trajectory of system arrives at the sliding surface in finite time interval and is kept here thereafter. Lastly a simulation is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
