Abstract

For the generation of short high-power pulses in many applications, power modulators based on capacitor discharge are used. Additionally, depending on the modulator concept, a galvanic isolation also has to be provided. This article designs a series resonant high-voltage constant current power supply, which includes transformer design, main topology research and component selection. In this paper, compared with other well-known topologies of charging power supply, the proposed full-bridge-based series resonant circuit allows the power supply to charge the load capacitance in constant current mode. The input is ac 380V/50Hz, and the output voltage is 2100Vdc. At the same time, it realizes soft switching, which improves efficiency and reduces switching loss.
