Abstract
The buckling resistance of ribs reinforcing walls of steel silos can be assessed by method recommended in PN-EN 1993-4-1:2009/A1-2017-08E. The method is based on an assumption that ribs are columns supported on elastic foundation parameter of which is defined in this Eurocode. In presented short communication Author indicates mistakes present in formulae defining equivalent stiffness K of the silo wall. The indicated errors significantly affect the buckling resistance of the silo wall and translate into the safety of its use
