Abstract

A suitable antenna is going to be designed for RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tag system. Long read range is possible if antenna impedance is well matched to chip impedance. This paper deals with the design and analysis techniques of a basic antenna at the required narrowband of frequency (865.6–867.6 MHz) and extended to impedance matching by different techniques such as parasitic, T-stub, shorting pin, etc. The proposed techniques are designed in Ansoft HFSS13.0 and measured with network analyzer which is suitable for few commercial chips and applications.
