Abstract

A geometrically nonlinear variant of the theory of multilayers anisotropic shells is constructed in arbitrary curvilinear coordinates on the basis of the generalized kinematic hypothesis of Grigolyuk. The stresses and strains are distributed through the thickness of each layer in accordance with a nonlinear law, which is interesting in regard to the design of structures made of composite materials. It is shown that anisotropy and geometric nonlinearity exert a substantial effect on the stress-strain state of a lightweight radial tire.
