Abstract

Air pollution problem, especially particulate matter pollution in many countries, has becomes a significant cause of health problems to people. Therefore, it is essential to develop a system for monitoring particulate matter quantity (PMM). This research article presents system design in monitoring particulate matter continuously. DEVIO NB-DEVKIT I Microcontroller together with sensors were used to measure quantity and collect data such as PM1.0, PM2.5, temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and wind direction. NB-IoT network was utilized to transmit quantity of particulate matter that measure and record the quantity into database every thirty seconds. Also, the website was created to show quantity of particulate matter in 24 hours represent with graph. The experiment started in September, 2021 at Faculty of Industrial Technology and Management Building, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Prachinburi Campus. During the experiment, it was monsoon season that led to huge raining and high relative humidity. As a result, it found that quantity of PM1.0 and PM2.5 was low that led to a good condition of air quality.
