Abstract

By studying the deformed Fibonacci and Thue-Morse quasi-periodic structures, a broad omnidirectional reflection band covering the all telecommunication bands is obtained. Deformation was introduced by applying a power law, so that the coordinates y of the deformed object were determined through the coordinates x of the non deformed structure in accordance with the following rule y = x/sup 1+k/. Here k is the coefficient defining the deformation degree. From the numerical results performed by the transfer matrix method, it is found that the reflection band of the deformed optimized generation quasiperiodic sequence structures covered the all optical telecommunication bands is obtained.
