Abstract

This paper describes design methods of MIMO (multiple input multiple output) AF (amplify and forward) relay system for multiuser processing which is useful for multi-cellular networks. Each source is allocated one relay terminal, and relays cooperatively work to mitigate interferences one another based on ZF (zero forcing) or maximum SINR (signal to interference plus noise ratio) criteria. The necessary conditions of the optimality are shown for the system consisting of sources, relays, and destinations equipped with multiantenna under the assumption of perfect CSI (channel state information). Computer simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
