Abstract
The work presents a design of millimeter-wave conformal microstrip antenna arrays. Based on the HFM and the parallel feed network, two conformal microstrip 4x4 arrays respectively on a cylinder and an elliptic cylinder surface are designed by the isotropic transformation theory (IT). Simulation results show that the conformal arrays work at 35 GHz and the gains are 20.43 dB and 20.61 dB at the center frequency respectively. This kind of conformal microstrip antenna array due to the lightweight, low profile, low cost, integrability with microwave circuitry and simple manufacturing is an attractive choice among different other microwave circuits and systems such as wireless systems, satellite communications and radars and so on .
