Abstract

This paper presents the design and analysis of a microstrip tapped-hairpin dual bandpass filter for Ku-band application. A new method for designing a dual bandpass filter with typical hairpin structure has been proposed. By adjusting the tapped positions and distances between two hairpin resonators, a dual bandpass filter is obtained. The designed dual bandpass filter operates at 13.3 GHz and 14.7 GHz. The result from simulation shows that the filter operates at the desired specification. In the passbands, S 21 is above -1dB, S 11 is blow -20dB.
