Abstract
Tumor and brain cancer are frequent causes of death around the world. Because of a brain tumor’s small size and few disadvantages of the methods used for its detection, it is difficult to determine its location at an early stage. The HFSS (High-Frequency Structure Simulator) Software is used to develop a Rectangular Microstrip Patch Antenna with an operating frequency of 7.3 GHz to diagnose brain tumor. The Antenna is designed using RogersR03003 Substrate material. In this paper, the antenna’s dimensions are 31.68*31.01*0.75 mm 3 , with a rectangular feedline being used to feed the radiating patch. With six layers of fat, dura, brain, skin, CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid), and the brain phantom was constructed using HFSS software. In that same human brain, the tumor of radius 1.5mm was implanted. The antenna was evaluated both with and without a tumor on a brain phantom to detect a tumor.
