Abstract

In this work, printed Log-Periodic Dipole Antenna (LPDA) is designed for GPS applications which operates at L band. The proposed Log-Periodic Dipole Antenna (LPDA) operates at 1.575 GHz. Printed LPDA is designed using glass pyrex as substrate of thickness 2mm and dielectric permittivity is 4.6. By adding stubs on each element of LPDA impedance matching is achieved. The printed Log-Periodic Dipole Antenna parameters like reflection coefficient, antenna gain and radiation pattern are simulated and analyzed. The simulated reflection coefficient of −21.2 dB and gain of 6.22 dB is obtained.
