Abstract

In recent times, the technology is moving towards artificial intelligence world which include IoT (Internet of Things) and IoE (Internet of Everything). Machine to machine or device to device communication is possible with IoT. In the pursuit of IoT and IoE, patch antenna plays a significant role. The patch antenna needs an appropriate design and functional analysis for such applications. This paper has research focus on an antenna design which consists of a miniaturized roger substrate for the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) applications. A circularly polarized patch RFID reader antenna is designed for ISM band (Industrial a Scientific and Medicine) of frequency 2.45 GHz. It reads radio frequency identity of an object with the 81% of efficiency. Other antenna parameters are analyzed and optimized for the said application. These include S - parameter, gain, directivity, tilt angle and radiation pattern. The ADS (Advance design system software) software platform is used for simulation tests.
