Abstract

With the rapid development of new energy power generation, clean energy and other industries, energy storage has become an indispensable key link in the development of power industry, and the application of energy storage is also facing great challenges. As an important part of new energy power system construction, energy storage security issues need to be resolved. There are a large number of lithium-ion batteries in the energy storage power station. The thermal runaway of the battery will cause serious safety problems such as combustion explosion. In this paper, an intelligent monitoring system for energy storage power station based on infrared thermal imaging is designed. The infrared thermal imager is used to monitor the operating temperature of the battery pack in the energy storage power station in real time. Once the battery operating temperature exceeds the set threshold, the system can automatically alarm and notify the staff. Through the construction of the system, countermeasures can be taken in the early stage of battery overcharge to avoid further thermal runaway of the battery leading to safety accidents. After experimental testing, the system can effectively monitor the operation of energy storage battery in real time, provide effective support for the early warning of energy storage power station safety accidents, and ensure the long-term safe and stable operation of energy storage power station.
