Abstract
In order to meet the needs of multi-service, multi-access and high security of metropolitan area network in the future, the current metropolitan area network is evolving to routing MPLS-VPN network, and the rapid backup of network is realized through OTN platform. This new metropolitan area network can support traditional Ethernet, digital circuit, copper wire and other access means, and realize VPN access for different services. Intelligent networks also provide effective security strategies and network QoS guarantee. This paper designs a smart MAN architecture to meet the needs of multi-service. Through this architecture, it provides a solution for the future development of urban network. It has a good ability of business expansion and is an effective solution for smart network.
