Abstract
정부는 시스템의 통합 및 업무효율성 향상 목적으로 정부전산정보관리소를 운영하고 있으며, 국방부에서도 분산 운영 중인 정보시스템을 통합하기 위해 통합정보관리소를 구축하여 2014년부터 운영 중에 있다. 현재 사용 중인 대부분의 정보시스템(전자결재시스템 등)은 클라이언트-서버 구조로 웹기반으로 개발/운영되고 있다. 그리고 정보시스템들은 LAN(Local Area Network) 환경에 적합하도록 개발되었다. LAN을 사용하는 대부분 부서에는 정보시스템을 사용하는데 네트워크 대역폭의 문제는 없다. 그러나 도서지역(섬) 또는 선박(Warship) 등은 충분한 네트워크 대역폭을 할당할 수 없는 경우가 많다. 이러한 경우 사용자는 저속(수백 Kbps) 네트워크때문에 응답시간이 늦어 정보시스템을 사용하는 데 어려움이 있다. 본 연구는 협대역 위성망 환경에서 사용자 응답시간 개선을 위해 정보시스템 아키텍처를 정부업무관리시스템기능 중 전자결재시스템 중심으로 설계하고 프로토타입을 구축하여 사용자 응답시간이 개선됨을 검증하였다.
