Abstract

A Hopfield-type neural network for the design of IIR digital filters with given amplitude and phase responses is proposed. The all analog network computes the filter coefficients in real time. The network is simulated and an example is included to show that this is an efficient way of solving the approximation problem. The approach has high potential for implementation in analog VLSI.
