Abstract

Along with the intensifying market competition, the growth of small and medium-sized private enterprises will mainly rely on the unique competitiveness which was gave birth by efficient management system and the institution system. This paper references the approach of people capability maturity model (P-CMM) in the performance management, and introduces the general mode of P-CMM and the methods of performance management in P-CMM, then learns other theories and methods of performance management. Performance-based management is essential for the development of SMEs. At last, it designs the model of performance management system which is fit for private SMEs in our country.
