Abstract
The gimbal servo system for a Control Moment Gyroscope (CMG) directly driven by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) was designed, and the mathematics model for the CMG gimbal servo system was built by using an oriented control strategy in shaft current id=0. Aiming at the high reliability requirement of CMG for satellite platform, the research on reliability design technology of CMG servo system was carried out, and the design methods of high reliability CMG servo system including reasonable hardware designs and software protection measures were proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed methods was proved by experiments.
