Abstract

The paper presents aspects of robust control for a Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) wind turbine. The use of a fractional order proportional-integral (FOPI) controller is proposed, since ensures superior performances in comparison with the conventional proportional-integral (PI) controller, in presence of external disturbances, measurement noises and generator parameters variations. For a vector control structure of DFIG, a FOPI controller is designed and the results of simulation conducted in Matlab/Simulink are presented and compared to a conventional PI controller.
