Abstract

The Hilbert transform plays a very significant role in theory of signal processing and digital communication. It is widely used in optical systems, modulation and edge detection. In this paper, the design of the generalized form of the Hilbert transform, the Fractional Hilbert transform is proposed. The coefficients of the FIR fractional Hilbert transform for different orders (5, 10,15) has been calculated using weighted least square error method. The optimization technique used is Genetic algorithm. At the end results for the different orders have been compared.
