Abstract

In this paper, a flexible and wearable antenna for 5G IoT (Internet of things) applications using polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) substrate has been proposed. The antenna design was carried out using meander line type micro strip antenna with appropriate size reduction for Fifth Generation (5G) Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The main challenge to design a wearable antenna is its size as in the applications very small space is given to fit in the antenna. The main aim is to propose a flexible, wearable, light weight and cost-effective antenna with improvised performance. The antenna displays triple band at 2.52 GHz, 3.8 GHz and 5.58 GHz with excellent reflection coefficient and gain.
