Abstract

With the continuous development of vehicles in electrification, intelligence, networking and sharing, there are more and more intelligent vehicle terminal devices and intelligent human-computer interaction devices. In order to continuously improve and expand the functions of vehicles and even improve user experience, it is necessary to update the firmware of intelligent devices through OTA (over the air) function throughout the life cycle of vehicles. The traditional full package firmware upgrade method with the help of MCU downloader takes up a lot of resources. If the equipment does not reserve the downloader interface, it is very inconvenient. For the firmware that is not particularly large, the differential upgrade is adopted, and the production and restoration of the differential package takes a long time and must ensure the consistency of the basic package, the gains outweigh the losses. In this paper, the firmware transmission is realized with the help of CAN bus interface and CCP protocol, and the integrity of the firmware is verified by MD5 verification. Finally, the firmware upgrade of intelligent vehicle terminal is realized through bootloader boot program. Experimental result indicated that this method is safe and reliable, which is of great significance for for the firmware upgrade of intelligent vehicle terminal and other products.
