Abstract

According to studies, electric bicycles are used in large numbers in ancient villages as the main means of transportation. Electric bicycles are the primary source of fire risk in old villages, where the majority of houses are huge, fire-prone timber and brick constructions. In this paper, an electric fire safety device for electric bicycle chargers based on anti-electrode reversal technology is devised in order to avoid electrical fires produced by electric bicycle chargers. First, based on statistical data, the primary reasons why electric bicycle chargers catch fire are introduced. Then, the software design scheme of the system is built, and the architectural form of the electrical fire prevention device for electric bicycle chargers and related circuits is designed for the sources of fire. The created protection device can manage battery charging by observing the charging voltage to prevent the fire produced by thermal runaway of the battery as a result of overcharging. It can also protect the charger from burning caused by battery reversal during charging.
