Abstract

According to the characteristic of driving current of the high-pressure pump and injectors' high-speed solenoid valve in the electrically controlled fuel injection system of diesel with time-pressure way,the driving circuit was designed, and the respective driving current was derived.Based on the driving circuit's characteristic, the corresponding circuit for fault detecting and diagnosing was proposed, and its veracity was proved through simulating circuit by software on the PC.The integrated fault diagnosis module was completed after the diagnosis algorithm was proposed. And the designed module was applied to an actual project. Then the experiment of actual driving and real-time fault diagnosing was operated on an electrically controlled diesel. The results showed that the pump and injector operated effectually and the parameter of the actual driving current was accurate with the system requirement. When faults occurred on the condition that the diesel worked on the middle or high speed, electronic control unit(ECU) could detect the faults and take effective actions to stop driving actuators timely. So the driving module satisfies the common rail's operating requirement. The detecting and diagnosing of open and short circuit of pump's solenoid valve and short to ground, open and inner short circuit of injector's solenoid valve is implemented. And its veracity and reliability satisfies the demand of system application.
