Abstract

The performance dependence of a computationally efficient digital quadrature demodulator on the number of filter coefficients for various filter design methods is investigated. It is shown that an image rejection ratio exceeding 100 dB can be achieved using a pair of finite impulse response filters having six and five nonzero coefficients, respectively.
