Abstract

A cryogenic test platform was conceived and designed with a variable temperature from 1.8K to 300K to accomplish the research of cryogenic seal performance, and the main research object of this platform is to test the seal capacity of the flange structure in superfluid helium condition. This platform mainly includes a cryostat, a set of vacuum pumps, a sealed test chamber, a cryogenic physical property test chamber, a leak detection system, a superfluid helium acquisition system, and temperature control systems. The cold source is supplied by 1.5K superfluid helium, which will be obtained by combining throttling with decompression. Mechanical structure designs and detailed parameters of the entire platform will be presented in this paper.
