Abstract

A small and compact CPW-fed dual-frequency implantable antenna with a size of 10mm × 10mm × 1.27mm is designed for medical telemetry. The antenna is used for medical implant communication services (MICS) Frequency band (402 ~ 405MHz) and Wireless Medical Telemetry Service (WMTS) frequency band (1.427 ~ 1.432GHz). The use of a high dielectric constant and a folded meandering monopole structure reduces the size of the antenna. On the premise of meeting the SAR value standard, both the size is reduced, and a high gain is obtained. The gains at the resonant frequencies in the two frequency bands are -31.68dBi and -17.98dBi, respectively, ensuring the performance of the antenna. The research results provide an important reference for the development and application of implantable antennas.
